Introduction to Adonis Rinker
a.k.a. Ice
NEW ADDRESS:
Miami Correctional Facility
3038 West 850 South
Bunker Hill, Indiana 46914-9810
Another new message from an
E-Mail he sent me May 31st 2011
Greetings Brothers, Sisters, and others!
Things have been interesting around here. As of recently, the Indiana Department
of Corrections has eliminated education from its facilities.
What makes this unsettling news is the fact that I only have two semesters left
until I graduate. However, it seems that the DOC has decided to let those who
are already enrolled, finish out. We will just have to see what unfolds between
now and the start of the fall semester.
Speaking of school. It has been brought to my attention that some of my fellow
collegiate as well as professors, have been checking out this website and my
postings. So, I want to give a huge shout-out to my favorite professor.. Prof.
Jodry and to any of the other Grace College students. GO LANCERS!!!!!
Other good news is that, as of September, I will have 36 months left at this
facility, and then 36 months left at the other facility. Then, I will be coming
home.
I am hoping that by then, I will have my book finished. I am writing an in-depth
commentary on the Book of Revelation. I am currently on chapter 6.
Also, I have received some responses pertaining to my previous posting, of when
I "ranted". I apologize for the language as well as if I had offended anyone. As
one of my old military buddies once said, we are all entitled to one melt-down a
year. LoL.
I am looking forward to being out there with all of you again. Love and Respect
to all of you.
Respectfully,
Adonis "ICEMAN" Rinker
ICE'S RANT (2-7-11)
Alright. I am starting to get REAL tired of you
people, and the games you seem to enjoy playing at my expense. Yea, I am in
prison on a sex case. That is because I told a poor excuse for a mother that, if
I have anything to do with it, she would not maintain custody of her son. A
month later, I get arrested on a bullshit sex case. There is also this woman
that tells me that she loves me, and "No matter what, family forever!" and she
will not abandon me as our mother had, because right now is when I need my
family the most. Is that why I haven't spoken to her in over a year, because my
situation is "too painful" for her? Then, there is my wonderful ex, Zara. We
broke up 12 years ago, so she could have sex with someone, than she writes me 6
years ago, but gets made at me for speaking my peace, and tells me to get lost.
Then, she recently started writing me, I forgave her, and we started working on
a friendship. Well, we had a disagreement, and she tells me to get lost once
again-leaving me standing her with a shattered heart in my hands AGAIN. And, of
course, you have those individuals running around calling me a child molester,
and talking all tough (which they could not do when I was out there). I am not a
fucking baby raper! I wish DNA would exonerate me, as it does for so many who
are wrongfully convicted, but if there was no crime, there cannot be any DNA. I
even had an E.R. nurse and hospital report state that there was no indication
that the child was molested. So, how did I get convicted? Gee, could it have
anything to do with the fact that I have a shaved head, tattoos, run with
"bikers", and go by ICE? Then, the prosecutor tells the woman, "Don't worry, he
won't make it out of prison alive", in front of my people. Is that why she (the
prosecutor) recently filed a restraining order against me, because I am "not
going to make it out of prison alive"?
Everyday, I attempt to find something positive about my being in here, so I can
thank the Lord, with an honest heart, for my situation. People write me, asking
for my advice, and I attempt my hardest to stay positive for each of you, and
give you words of encouragement. Yet, people wish to play games.
That is great. You guys want to play games with me, then let's play. When I get
out, we are going to play my favorite game-"Was It Worth It?"
For those who have remained true friends- Svetlana of Russia, Oliya of Moscow,
Ian of Scotland, Rev. Arturi of Opus Dei, the Bontragers of CMA, my dad,
Christopher of the Knights Templar, Rayvn of South Bend, Paul in New York,
Anthony in Jersey, Stanley in California, and of course English Mike-I give my
deepest love, loyalty, and respect. As for everyone else-see you soon!

Adonis Passed His GED Exams,
He Is Masking Good His Commitment To Improve Himself !!
Adonis is a friend of mine, who used to live with me for a bit. Deep inside he has a kind heart and is
caring. I helped get him involved in ABATE and wanted to share some of this with
you and give you some idea of his plight.
Just some Prison Humor that
caught his attention and he forwarded onto me:

Kinda sad to mention that
much of it is "true".
I haven't added many pictures of him lately, here are a
few for now...

Just visited him recently, doing fine, going to school. As he would say "same
old, same old".
Tells me he would like to have a cat if he gets out soon.

I visited Adonis on December 23rd, He is doing fine and we had this picture
taken of us in front of their Christmas Tree.
He told me that after my last visit one of the other inmates told him that his
father looks a lot like him....

A TOAST
By: Ice
Some days seem to go by fast,
Others way too slow,
Regardless of which, on it still goes.
I've been sitting here away, half of the night,
Trying to figure out, the best thing to write.
Something to toast the future, pay homage to the past.
As I reminisce on days, of living life too fast.
Remember Gino's, over in South Jersey,
You said you like my suit, I said you looked real pretty.
Eight months later, we went our separate ways.
No matter how hard you tried, I just couldn't stay.
But it's alright, yea it's okay,
We has a shot, and we took it all the way.
So here's to the future, and the past.
We made our mistakes, but we sure had a blast.
Thousands of people, from coast to coast.
Looking for excitement, wanting one more show.
Home was an empty hotel rooms for the weekend.
Not knowing when it'd end, or remembering how it began.
But it was alright, yea it was okay,
I had a shot, and I took it all the way.
I made my mistakes, but I sure did have a blast.
This is for the friends, I've lost along the way,
And for my wife, that I'll meet someday.
Life is short, it should be lived to the fullest,
In thirty years, I want to look back and say: "Yea, I did this."
It'll be alright, yea it'll be okay.
If we get a shot, we should take it all the way.
We may make our mistakes, but will have a blast. |
IMMORTAL LOVE
By:
ICE
I shall call her love a gift of the ages,
A masterpiece engraved upon life's pages.
How is it that such grace befall the common man,
Such elegance and style to never be witnessed again.
To embrace her in the night till slumber comes to call,
Would cause my heart to echo her name through eternity's hall.
With flickering candles and champagne on ice,
We shall glimpse into the majestic nature of paradise.
Carnal instinct upon romance delight,
A characteristic of nature by bounding a life.
With actions words need not be said,
For within the art of passion tonight our souls shall wed.

THE SHOW
By:
ICE
Come on and let's go,
The show is about to start,
Never mind the sad parts,
They're are only temporary,
Things are never what they should be,
Remember when you were young,
Never had a care in the world,
Now is that a boy or a girl.
Dancing in a twisted masquerade,
People are more plastic than cellophane.
When we lived,
We use to run these streets,
Now you left it up to just me,
But I'm caught in a vortex of time,
Looking for a life outside of mine,
Tumble down the rabbit hole,
One more line and then I'll go,
I hope you enjoyed the show. |
"SO-CALLED LIFE"
By:
ICE
Another lyric, literary life-line,
A winged traveler, caught in the grasp of time,
Stolen by fate, their lips are sealed,
Try to turn away, but the pictures are real.
--CHORUS--
I can't keep my eyes from the melting sky,
Tongue-tied and twisted,
I'm sick of this, so-called life.
Misspoken secret, the world stands still,
Can you tell me stranger, which reality is real,
Azazel sits, his face forever in the dark,
Try to be civilized, but animals are what you are.

SUMMER OF '67
By: ICE
Her name was Gypsy-Moon,
She had raven hair,
Even to this day,
I can still see her standing there.
With those flowers in her hand,
And no shoes on her feet,
The summer of '67 was so good to me.
Papa Shroom had a shop,
Down on Feel good Avenue,
If you had no money,
He would always still help you.
One night Gypsy-Moon,
Had just a little too much,
There went my summer of love.
-----CHORUS----
We miss you Jim and sweet Mamma Cass,
Your gifts of music they will forever last.
They taught us how to love and live as a friend,
I know those flowers will bloom again.
The colors dance and blended with the music,
As she took my hand,
Said "I know you're new to this,"
We fell in love,
As we walked amongst the stars,
'67 is a tattoo upon my heart.
Now I lay awake,
Staring up at the darkening sea,
Often I wonder if,
my Gypsy-Moon watches over me,
We danced in sunsets,
Quite like this one,
Summer of '67 here I come.
---REPEAT CHORUS---- |
-Family, Friends, and Others -
It is hard to believe that on the 29th of this
month (June), I shall officially be a college graduate. I will have obtained my
Associate's Degree, and I have already begun classes towards my Bachelor's
(which I should obtain in 24 months). Time goes by fast when you keep yourself
busy with studies and the such.
Everything is going great. The organization which I have created is coming along
as well as can be expected ( given my present situation) - I already have four
employees, I am seeking out a publisher for this manuscript that I recently
penned, and I am still alive (which I hear is a good thing in places such as
this).
It has been brought to my attention that there is still some unintelligent
prattle going on. It actually use to bother me, but it does not anymore. This is
how I look at it:
You never uttered a disrespectful word when I was among you, but now that I am
incased in steel and concrete, while being guarded by men with guns and dogs,
you feel safe enough to open your mouths. So, please, speak until you are
hoarse, should you so desire, because I know you will just go back to being
quiet when I get out. Plus, I must be something special, if I have been gone for
6 years, and you are still talking about me. Remember what Scripture says
though: "But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of
judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be
acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
It does not bother me what anyone has to say, or even think, about me. When the
day comes that you eat your Wheaties, and you get enough courage up to throw me
a beating, then I may care what you have to say or think about me. But until
that day comes, you can quite pretending that any word which comes from your
mouths, has any significance to my existence.
In other news - Starting July, 2010, prison inmates will be afforded the
opportunity to bail out of prison ; the prison managed to stand up against the
tornado *sporting a sad face* ; I am still awaiting the decision on my transfer
request - if granted, INDY here I come (New Castle Correctional Facility)! Other
than that as I previously stated, everything is great.
Thank you for your correspondences, prayers, thoughts, donations, and even
birthday cards (I think another grey hair just popped up. LoL)
I would also like to pay my respects to my awesome sister, at the tattoo shop on
Mayflower Road in South Bend, and her crew (Red, Amanda, Joe, and their
families). To the Christians - I would just like to say: "Keep fighting the good
fight - In meditatione mea exardescit ignis pro tu." And of course, thank you to
my brother English Mike, for his support, and making my updates to you guys
possible.
Respectfully,
Adonis "ICEMAN" Rinker

I might mention that he has
started school and is getting his GED. He even mentioned that he is thankful for
the opportunities that he has gotten since he has been in prison, as he is also
having major dental taken care of. I visited him of November 5th and he has
actually grown his hair long enough to put it in a (very small) tail.
| Now this is my call to action - I will be starting a COMMUNITY
SUPPORT PETITION for Adonis. I need names and addresses to show that the
community supports a modification to his sentencing. |
The petition will say in part:
State of Indiana v. Adonis Rinker
St Joseph Superior Court
Cause No. 71D02-0409-FA-00093
John M Marnocha (Judge)
The below signed people within the community of the above and named
Petitioner wish to show our continued support of him and his family, by
requesting that this Honorable Court allow this petition to be filed
with his request for alternative sentencing.
We feel that during the period of time that he has been
incarcerated, he has had ample opportunity to reflect on both the
actions that brought forth his present incarceration and all of the
other circumstances in his life that lead to such.
WHEREFORE, we believe that the Petitioner in this cause is ready
for this Court to allow his requested alternative form of sentencing, so
that he may continue with his rehabilitation and further prove to this
court he deserves a second chance to live his life as a productive
member of a law abiding society.
Some of the reasons that he believes that he should be given
another chance are:
1, The character and attitude of Petitioner indicates that he is
unlikely to commit another crime if released from incarceration.
2. Further incarceration of Petitioner will only result in a undue
hardship to Petitioner and his family.
3. Petitioner will abide by any special stipulations the Court may
impose in granting this motion.
4. Petitioner has no prior record of violent crime.
5. The interest of society, as well as the Petitioner, would best be
served by a reduction of his sentence or his release on probation.
6. He has begun school and plans to continue education after he gets
out.

Phone (Optional) - |
| Anyone who reads this and wishes to add there name to the Petition
can copy and paste the above and e-mail it with your full name and
